Since 1995 Valentino's
Magic Moments has been entertaining at more than 1000 events to
more than 50,000 children and adults alike.
He has appeared at
many shopping centres across the UK, such as, The Buttermarket
in Ipswich, The Martletts in Burgess Hill, The Maltings in St
Albans, The Howard Centre in Welwyn Garden City, The Swan Centre
in Leatherhead, The Chantry Centre in Andover, and ,four years
running, Palmers Green Funday.
His show
has appeared on the new digital television channel E4 in the program
'Chained'. He has entertained guests on board P & O Ferries
'Pride of Portsmouth' and 'Pride of Le Harve' ships. And has even
performed to an audience of 2000 at the Astoria theatre as support
to rock band Mr Bungle.
Supporting
many charities by entertaining for organisations such as, Childline,
Barnardos, Salvation Army, Pimlico Puffins, Unity Church, and
especially enjoying entertaining senior citizens at over 80 residential
and retirement homes around London and the South East of England.
Magic
Moments originally was the creative work of husband and wife team,
Charlie Valentino & Tracey Van GramberG. Although Tracey has
had to temporarily retire from entertaining as she is currently
awaiting the arrival of two new young 'entertainers'.
Charlie
got the magic 'bug' as a young child after borrowing a book on
card tricks from his local library.
|
"My
grandfather was always showing me various card tricks and
I would sit for ages trying to work out how he did them."
|
While
studying, a part-time job with a local restaurant led to the chance
for Charlie to work for a year as assistant to clown Ronald McDonald.
This, combined with his great admiration for the late, great,
Tommy Cooper, would go on to have a major influence on his own
act. Charlie also entertains as a close-up magician. (see Charlie
Valentino - Close-up Illusionist for full details)
Tracey,
who had studied child-development at school, has always loved
working with children. Before meeting Charlie, her past work has
involved many playgroups and crèches.

Charlie
Valentino conjures up magic rabbit 'Thumper'
|
Back
in 2000 they introduced an additional digital photography service
for private children's parties, supplying the child's parents
with a camera to take as many pictures as they wish during their
party.
|

"Better
luck next time Charlie"
(As he fails to make a REAL rabbit)
|
This
service has now come to an end but the best pictures from past
parties are now available (displayed anonymously with the consent
of the children's parents) to view in our PARTYCAM
GALLERY .

Sitting
on the magic carpet the 'magician' floats two feet off the
ground with a litle help from Charlie Valentino
|
New for 2002 With
the departure of his assistant, Charlie has filled his show with
even more zany magic and mayhem as well as improving his PA sound
system. His latest addition to his show is 'The
Magic Carpet Illlusion'. Watch him levitate the birthday child
two feet off the ground in front of their friends on a small magic
carpet with no possible means of support.
